Primal 02:17
Here we go again yeah I heard you were talkin' about me Talkin' all reckless thinkin' that I'd never see And you always thought you were right Which is why we have to fight Because you're primal Because you're primal Been some time since you've been in town B-b-but when you come back we're still goin' round and round And you always thought you were right Which is why we have to fight Because you're primal Because you're primal I don't know what you think you're doing Can't you see that we're stuck in a cycle It's natural to fight, that's true and You only think about your survival Because you're primal Because you're primal And you always thought you were right which is why we have to fight Because you're primal Because you're primal Because you're primal Because you're primal

I Do 03:26
Took a stab at it, don't really know what Sticking to the wall and maybe its wet enough Lucky the first time I had to try another Couldn't stop then it was like a sugar rush Do you feel, do you feel like I, I Do Are you thinking, are you thinking like I, I Do Come back home and everything's different Look to the right and all I see is emptiness Watch from afar but feel like I'm right there Its a two way mirror but who's on the inside Do you feel, do you feel like I, I Do Are you thinking, are you thinking like I, I Do Do you feel, Do you feel alive I, I do Are you thinking, are you thinking right Cause I, I do

I want to know what you're thinking' about You don't even know about this mess you've made I can't clean it up without your help We got to talk it out even if its loud You say you don't care at all And I care too much Why can't you look at me When this is all your fault You said you would change your ways I can't look the other way at you I can see that you're no longer thinking of me You left me hanging from this tree I had a feeling that you would never stay We never thought that it would end this way You say you don't care at all And I care too much Why can't you look at me When this is all your fault You said you would change your ways I can't look the other way at you At you At you At you

Well come on baby, I heard ya been around And I can't tell what's up from down Now I don't know if baby that's the truth But I can't tell I'm not hearing much from you So is it, his story or history Now was it, his story or history Come on honey, tell me what's true Cause you're not trusting me, so why should I trust you Now I don't know if baby that's the truth But I can't tell I'm not hearing much from you So is it, his story or history Now was it, his story or history Well come on baby weren't we meant to be And I been thinking that you've been lying to me And I don't know maybe baby it's the truth But I can't tell I'm not hearing much from you So is it, his story or history Now was it, his story or history Baby tell me, his story or history Now was it, his story or history

Knowing when to say goodbye Is something that's hard to do But it's the hardest thing to say When I say it to you Sometimes I say those three little words that are so overused But they're the easiest thing to say When I say them to you I want you, to tell me how you feel If I knew how you were feeling I could feel that too Sometimes you've got to tell someone What they're supposed to do But it's the hardest thing to do When they say it to you I got to tell you how I feel, even if you refuse But it's the easiest thing to say When I say it to you It's the easiest thing to say When I say it to you But It's the easiest thing to say When I say it to you When I say it to you When I say it to you When I say it to you When I say it to you (When I say it to you) When I say it to you (When I say it to you) When I say it to you (When I say it to you) When I say it to you (When I say it to you) When I say it to you (When I say it to you) When I say it to you (When I say it to you) When I say it to you (When I say it to you) When I say it to you (When I say it to you) When I say it to you (When I say it to you) When I say it to you (When I say it to you) When I say it to you

Don't Lie 03:43
You just told me that I'd never see you again But now I'm seeing you more than ever You looked at me and told me it was the end But you still wanna be my friend Don't lie, don't lie to me Don't cry, don't cry for me Don't lie, don't lie to me Don't cry, don't cry for me You told me that you were so lonely But I caught you out with your friends You told me it wasn't you in the picture But I saw you laughing, having fun Don't lie, don't lie to me Don't cry, don't cry for me Don't lie, don't lie to me Don't cry, don't cry for me I see you told them it was me It doesn't matter much to me Why do you act so differently When you're around them Telling jokes playing games always together You never did that with me anyway I guess that's okay, since were not together Just don't act like you never saw my face Don't lie, don't lie to me Don't cry, don't cry for me Don't lie, don't lie to me Don't cry, don't cry for me
8.
I'd love to love you if I got the chance But you see me as a friend And you think that it would end before real romance I'd love to love you if I got a start But you got yourself a man And you think he's got the plan to save your heart Oh, woah baby I'm right here Oh, woah baby I'm right here I'd love to see your smile everyday But we've fallen out of touch And I think I said to much to make you stay I'd love to love you and I know you'll find That I'm the better guy, just open up your eyes and be mine Oh and little did ya know You've been staring at a two way mirror Oh and little did ya know I've been standing so near Oh and little did ya know I've been standing right here Oh, woah baby I'm right here Oh, woah baby I'm right here Oh, woah baby I'm right here Oh, woah baby I'm right here Oh, woah baby I'm right here Baby I'm right here Oh, woah baby I'm right here

Dumb Enough 02:59
I don't know, what to do now Even if, I am found out I've got, curiosity About the things, that I can't see I wish I was dumb enough to be Happier than what I'm used to being The smarter I get the more I think About the things that I could be I've been, I've been hiding What I know, from all this lying I can't go, on with running Nows the time, to keep myself alive I wish I was dumb enough to be Happier than what I'm used to being The smarter I get the more I think About the things that I could be I wish I was dumb enough to be Happier than what I'm used to being The smarter I get the more I think About the things that I could be I wish I was dumb enough to be Happier than what I'm used to being The less I know the better I'll see What I can wonder, think and speak

All I Can Do 02:13
I see a girl, as she's walking down the street But I know, she doesn't notice me And I know that is, all I can do As I'm watching her walk by There's a glimmer in my eye And I think, that maybe she's the one And I know that is, all I can do And when I make her mine I'll love her all the time, and I'll hold her When she is blue It's all I can do All I can do I see this love, and I want it to be mine But I know, I must watch it walk on by And I know that is, all I can do
11.
It hurts to know, what she has in store for me She locked the door, and I threw away my key She'll leave me behind, on December 29th Cause that's her New Years resolution She's breaking bad habits, by breaking my heart I'm sitting like a board, waiting for her to throw the dart She'll leave me behind, on December 29th Cause that's her New Years resolution She'll leave me behind, on December 29th Cause that's her New Years resolution She'll leave me behind, on December 29th Cause that's her New Years resolution She'll leave me behind, on December 29th Cause that's her New Years resolution
12.
Get home safely cause I want you there Get home safely cause I couldn't bare The thought of not seeing you My heart would be broken in two Get home safely its not too far away Get home safely cause I don't wanna say I was the one to see you last My heart would be shattered like glass Get home safely Get home safely Get home safely its all you've got to do Get home safely cause I love you

about

“The British Invasion began a domino effect that remains in motion to this day. Of its many indelible marks on music and culture, one of the foremost is jumpstarting the American garage band explosion of the 60s that helped pave the way for generations of independent rock to come. That spirit—and more than just a hint of the sound—is at the core of Fort Wayne, Indiana trio Uncle Muscle’s debut full length, Say Uncle.

Written over the course of several years, Say Uncle is, on one hand, a lovingly crafted pastiche of Vietnam War-era American rock music, and, on the other, a recognizably modern indie rock record that is just as indebted to Spoon as it is to English kids with bowl cuts. Make no mistake, there are Liverpudlian harmonies aplenty, as well as the rollicking freneticism of bands like The Jam and their fellow late-70s mod revivalists. There’s also more than enough sweetly warbling surf guitar for any Ventures fan to feel right at home, and a hefty dose of gritty blues-driven 60s garage rock that would make The Sonics proud.

But for all its reverence for the past, Say Uncle doesn’t treat its influences as unalterable relics frozen in amber, but as living things to be reimagined and expanded upon. For every idea that’s borrowed, a new one is presented; The sum of its parts being an adroitly balanced listening experience that’s as fresh as it is familiar. Uncle Muscle is a band glancing backward as they move purposefully ahead.” -Grey Gordon
